Slovenia: The value of purchased roundwood increased by 63% in May

Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in May 2018 was worth Euro 6.8 million, which is 9% more than in the previous month, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 10%, of wood fuel by more than 8% and of pulpwood by 7%, while the value of purchased other industrial roundwood was slightly lower.

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in May 2018 was about 63% higher than in May 2017, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by 60%, of wood fuel by almost 185% and of pulpwood by 62%. On the other hand, the value of purchased other industrial roundwood was almost the same as in May last year.
