Aug 21, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in June 2014 amounted to Euro 3.8 million, which is about 22% less than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by 17%, of pulpwood by about 39%, of wood fuel by about 52%, and of other industrial roundwood by 14%, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The total value of roundwood purchased in June 2014 was about 47% higher than in June 2013, mainly due to higher quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 53%, of pulpwood by about 25%, of other industrial roundwood by about 50%, while the value of purchased wood fuel was almost the same as in June 2013 (the quantity of purchased fuel wood was much higher, while the average price of purchase was much lower than a year ago).
