Rengo announces that Thai Containers Group, a joint venture between Rengo and SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (a subsidiary of The Siam Cement Public Company), has completed the acquisition of a 25% stake from an individual shareholder in Dyna Packs and Orient Containers, both corrugated packaging subsidiaries of Thai Containers Group located in Samut Sakhon Province. Through this acquisition, both companies have been made wholly-owned subsidiaries of Thai Containers Group.
The corrugated packaging business in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, is an important strategic focus for the overseas operations of the Rengo Group as a “General Packaging Industry” (GPI) that positions overseas operations as one of its core businesses.
