Timber production by Cherepovetsles down 3% in January 2005

Cherepovetsles timber industry holding company (Vologodskaya region) reduced timber production 3% to 148.8 thousand cub m in January 2005 compared to 2004, Cherepovetsles spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. Round timber production in January 2005 reduced 9% to 113.2 thousand cub m, sawn timber - up 9% to 6.3 thousand cub m. Belozersky timber enterprise reported the highest production results - 65 thousand cub m, Babayevsky - 31.2 thousanad cub m. Cherepovetsles produces timber in 7 districts of Vologda region on a total square of 835 thousand hectares.
