Tolko Industries appointed Jeanette Hoft to the position of communications manager

Nov 27, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. Tolko Industries Ltd. appointed Jeanette Hoft to the position of communications manager, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Bob Fleet, Tolko’s vice president, Environment and Forestry said, "Tolko is an influential player in the Canadian forestry industry. Jeanette’s appointment is an important additional step in Tolko’s ongoing commitment to build and retain positive relationships with our customers, employees, other players in the industry and the communities we work in."

Hoft's professional career spans 25 years, most of those in senior management positions as an experienced communications and marketing research professional with leading public and private sector organizations in southern Africa and Canada.

She has also operated successfully as an independent consultant in corporate communications, community relations, stakeholder and marketing research in several industries including electricity and telecommunications, agriculture, retail, engineering, contracting and financial services. She also served as community relations manager for BC Hydro's Thompson Okanagan Columbia Region.

Janice Lockyer also joined Tolko’s Communications department recently as communications advisor. She has vast communications experience within the health and broadcasting industry and government relations in New Foundland and Labrador. Maritza Reilly completes the team as communications coordinator.

Tolko Industries Ltd. is a private, Canadian-owned forest products company based in Vernon, British Columbia with approximately 3,000 employees across operations in Western Canada. Tolko is a major producer and marketer of lumber, veneer, plywood, oriented strand board, and kraft papers.
