Joe Kusar, vice president of Tolleson, an Ilim Timber Company, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA), a trade organization representing Southern Pine lumber manufacturers.

Oct 28, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Joe Kusar, vice president of Tolleson, an Ilim Timber Company, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA), as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

“I look forward to working with the excellent staff at SFPA,” Kusar said. “Our association is a strong voice in the industry, and I hope to build on that strength as our industry continues to rebound,” he added.

Tolleson Lumber Company, Inc. based in Perry, Georgia, USA is one of the largest lumber manufacturers in the south. The company manufactures southern pine lumber at two mills – one in Perry, GA and one in Preston, GA. The two have a combined capacity to produce in excess of 370 million board feet annually. In March 2011 Ilim Timber Industry, a leading International forest products company, acquired controlling interest in Tolleson Lumber Company.

SFPA is a nonprofit trade association representing Southern Pine lumber manufacturers, treaters, laminators and component manufacturers throughout the Southeast. Today, SFPA is the leading source of information about the specification and use of Southern Pine lumber.
