Uniboard, a North American producer of decorative composite wood panels, renewed its Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification. Uniboard was the first company in Canada to migrate successfully to the new FSC® Controlled Wood Standard. Uniboard had to meet new audit program, which included a new risk assessment.

Gaston Isabel, Director Fibre Supply, commented: “We are proud to maintain our leadership in forest certification with our supply partners in Eastern Canada in the interest of supplying the best certified products in the composite panel industry.”

Uniboard belongs to Kaycan Group of Companies, a leading manufacturer of building products in North America with its head office located in Montreal, Quebec. It is a leading North American manufacturer of engineered wood products, with an installed capacity of over 640 million square feet of raw particleboard, high-density and medium-density fiberboard, of which over 50% is converted into value-added thermally fused laminate and laminate flooring products.
