Continuity in management has been assured; before the takeover, Luc Swaenen was a co-owner of Vinke Display and he continues in the role of Managing Director at Schumacher Packaging & Display BV. The most recent annual turnover figure for the Breda plant was in the region of Euro 10 million.
“Being part of the ower-managed Schumacher Packaging Group means that we are significantly expanding our product portfolio and our range of services,” said Luc Swaenen.
For the Schumacher Packaging Group, the site at Breda will serve as both a sales and a logistics centre for the Benelux area, not least because it will give sales support to its new corrugated board plant in Greven, Germany, where Schumacher has built an ultra-modern plant directly next to Münster/Osnabrück Airport, with production commencing there in May 2014.
By investing Euro 45 million in the Greven plant, the Schumacher Packaging Group has, from the very beginning, followed the principal strategic goal of facilitating the opening up of sales markets such as North-Western Germany and Benelux.
