Wilsonart acquires Roseburg Forest Products facility in Oxford, Mississippi

Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces announced an agreement with Roseburg Forest Products to acquire manufacturing assets in Oxford, Mississippi. The facility, which manufactures Thermally Fused Melamine (TFL) Panels, will become an integral part of Wilsonart’s Coordinated Surfaces program in North America. The transaction closed in February 2017, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

"The Oxford facility is a logical extension of Wilsonart’s state-of-the-art manufacturing operations in North America, and will provide our customers greater access to the best-matched TFL Panels that are part of Wilsonart’s Coordinated Surfaces program,” said Ron Ubertini, Wilsonart vice president, product management.

In 2014, Wilsonart launched the Coordinated Surfaces program, a suite of best-matched surfacing options including high pressure laminate, TFL panels and edgebanding featuring Wilsonart designs and textured finishes.

Established in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a closely held private company. With 630,000 acres of timberland in Oregon and California, they operate facilities in Oregon, California, Montana, Louisiana and Mississippi. Roseburg manufactures lumber, softwood and hardwood plywood, particleboard, medium density fiberboard, thermally-fused laminates, and engineered wood products.
