Sep 05, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. /. In December, 2008 a large-size plywood and bent and glued products factory in the town of Gremyachinsk, Perm region. A Slovenian company has already expressed interest in the future products, reported the press office of the administration of the Perm region. The investment project “Organization of production of large-size plywood and of bent and glued products” is implemented by Rosplit LLC. The new timber mill is being constructed on the industrial site of the former engineering plant. A business plan has been developed, a feasibility and marketing study has been prepared, the mill has been fitted with equipment and the operating process has been designed. At the moment retrofitting of production shops is on full-forward. Contracting organizations are performing construction of a hydrothermal timber treatment basin, a timber handling and storage site, a railway branch, a warehouse for storage of finished products. Advance orders for products have already started to arrive. Some future customers are from other regions of Russia and from abroad. The project capacity of the enterprise is 18,000 cubic meters of bent and glued products and 60,000 cubic meters of plywood per annum using birch logs as raw materials. The project is to be implemented in two stages. At the first stage bent and glued products production is to be put into operations, The production is planned to commence in 4 months, the project capacity is planned to be reached in 2009. At the second stage, in March, 2009, plywood production will be started. When the project capacity is reached the number of employees will be 800 people. The total cost of the project is 1.1 billion roubles ($43 million). The amount of all budgetary tax payments is 130 million roubles ($5 million) a year .
