Asia Pulp & Paper expands logistical and warehousing hub in Belgium

Jul 23, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Asia Pulp & Paper Group (APP) has added graphic and speciality paper capacity to its 10,000 sqm logistical and warehousing hub at the Port of Antwerp, Belgium. APP will now be able to provide a range of graphic paper solutions to customers across Northern Europe, with lead times of just 7-10 days in order ranges of 5-25 tonnes, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The Antwerp hub caters for the North European market and joins APP’s three existing logistical and warehousing hubs with 10,000 sqm of capacity in Italy, 3,000 sqm in Spain and 3,000 sqm in Latvia. APP has now extended shorter lead time capacity to cover the entirety of the Southern, Central, Northern and Eastern European markets, with the Latvian facility in particular offering additional reach into the Russian market.

Danilo Benvenuti, Regional Sales Director for Asia Pulp and Paper said: “One of APP’s fundamental goals is to support our customers in growing their businesses profitably. Therefore, we are pleased to be introducing greater product availability and shorter lead times. As a result of our shorter lead times, our customers will be able to reduce their stockholding requirements and free up cashflow – something we believe is a critical advantage in today’s competitive market.”
