BID Group of Companies (“BID Group”) selected by Two Rivers Lumber Co. to deliver a state-of-the-art turnkey sawmill complex in Demopolis, Alabama. Construction will begin in the 1Q 2017 and will continue throughout the year with mill production scheduled for the 3Q 2017, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The successful execution of the project will require the combined efforts of BID Group’s facilities located throughout North America and the Management team of Two Rivers.
The Demopolis sawmill will feature state-of-the-art technologies specifically designed, supplied, and installed by the BID Group including a Comact optimized log bucking system, a Comact saw line with profiling systems, and a fully-automated mill outfeed. The planer mill will be equipped with the new, and now proven, Miller high speed planer, and the latest Comact GradExpertTM 2.0. Lumber drying will utilize continuous kiln technology provided through a Deltech dual-path kiln.
