Bitus, Bergs Timber’s Swedish wood protection business, will be a new business area, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Bitus has a strong market position and Bergs Timber sees great opportunities to further develop the business. The change marks its increased ambition level in the wood protection segment and a future development towards an ever-increasing degree of further processing of the products in Bergs Timber Group.
Henrik Egnell will be responsible for business area Bitus and report directly to the CEO in Bergs Timber AB.
Bergs Timber produces and sells sawn and further processed wood products. It operates its production facilities in Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. The Group also includes its own port and logistics operations in England.
