Sep 07, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. From January through July this year, the exports revenues of Brazilian planted trees industry totaled $4.4 billion, a 1.8% increase year-over-year. In the same months, the industry has also recorded a positive balance of $3.6 billion in the industry Balance of trade, 9.5% higher year-over-year, as the Brazilian Tree Industry (Iba) said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

From January through July 2015, pulp production totaled 9.7 million tons, 4.6% higher year-over-year. The volume exported increased 9.3% compared to 2014, totaling 6.6 million tons.

Wood panels exports totaled 343,000 cubic meters in the first seven months of 2015, 40% higher compared to July 2014 YTD. Domestic sales totaled 3.9 million cubic meters, 3.2% lower year-over-year.

In the first seven months of 2015, paper exports totaled 1.2 million tons, compared to 1.1 million tons in the same period last year. Paper production remained practically stable from January through July 2015 at 6 million tons. Domestic paper sales totaled 3.1 million tons, 3.6% lower than the same period in 2014.
