Aug 18, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. BRUKS was awarded a contract for the supply of the new conveyor system for transport of wood pellets and coal for the CHP plant unit 1, at Avedöre power station in Copenhagen, Denmark, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

During 2015 – 2016, the fuel handling system for unit 1 will be rebuilt to be able to handle also wood pellets, and BRUKS will supply the new conveying system for the day silos.

The system will include the totally enclosed, air supported conveyor BRUKS TUBULATOR ® type CT 1248, designed for 800 ton/h. It will also include a spark detection and explosion suppression system.

The system will be operational in the summer of 2016, and will supply the plant with 1, 2 mil. ton wood pellets/year.
