Lumber production in Canada was up 14.5% from February to 6 218.2 thousand cubic metres in March 2017. Production was 4.4% higher than March 2016, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
In March 2017, sawmills shipped 5 838.7 thousand cubic metres of lumber, up 14.1% from February and 0.9% higher than March 2016.
