Conifex Timber’s 3Q revenues grow 51% to $182.1 million

Conifex Timber Inc. (“Conifex”) reported results for the 3Q ended September 30, 2018. Revenues totaled $182.1 million in the 3Q 2018, a decline of 9% from the prior quarter and an improvement of 51% over the same quarter last year, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

EBITDA in the 3Q 2018, which excludes countervailing and anti-dumping duty deposits of $6.4 million, was $18.8 million, compared to a record $20.8 million in the 2Q 2018 and $12.1 million in the 3Q 2017.

Net income for the 3Q 2018 was $4.3 million, or $0.09 per share, compared to net income of $9.2 million or $0.35 per share in the previous quarter and $6.2 million or $0.23 per share in the 3Q 2017.

Conifex and its subsidiaries' primary business currently includes timber harvesting, reforestation, forest management, sawmilling logs into lumber and wood chips, and value added lumber finishing and distribution. Conifex's lumber products are sold in the United States, Chinese, Canadian and Japanese markets.
