Danzer announces reorganization of its European businesses

Nov 28, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Global hardwood and veneer specialist Danzer is going to simplify the legal structure of its European businesses. The changes will affect the legal entities Danzer Europe Veneer AG, Vinterio AG, Danzer Services Schweiz AG, and Danzer AG; other Danzer companies are not affected, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The changes will reduce the administrative workload, increase transparency and allow for more flexibility and faster decisions. Other than that, the changes will not affect the day-to-day business.

Danzer’s headquarter of the European Veneer business will move from Baar, Switzerland to Salzburg, Austria. There, Danzer operates a warehouse and appealing showroom for many years. Management will hence be closer to the customer and the product; this will in turn simplify processes.

The second change in legal structure will streamline Danzer Specialty Division: the two legal entities Vinterio AG and Danzer Deutschland GmbH serve the same customer groups for several years now; in 2015, their activities will be legally joined and continued by Danzer Deutschland GmbH.

Several Danzer support functions will also move to Dresden: the Danzer Engineering department will move from Reutlingen to Dresden and work closely with the R&D department there; this collaboration will allow for a more effective industrialization of Danzer’s innovations.

The Reutlingen office will be closed in the run of the year 2015. Danzer will also move its holding company from Switzerland to Austria. The shareholder remains the Auxilium Trust.

“The changes we undertake now will benefit our European veneer business, Danzer Specialty Division and Danzer overall”, explains Hans-Joachim Danzer, CEO; “we will be simpler and more effective, reduce our administrative workload and provide Danzer with a structure that will serve us well for the coming decades.”

Danzer is a leading quality hardwood company.
