Horner Millwork to invest $7 million to create 2 floors of new manufacturing and warehouse space

Horner Millwork is a distributor and manufacturer of windows, doors, kitchens, stairs, millwork, and commercial building products, plans to invest $7 million to expand its Somerset, MA, manufacturing plant by 0,000 square feet and create 2 floors of new manufacturing and warehouse space. The investment backed by a 12-year tax break, valued at $647,568 from the Town of Somerset.

The company plans to purchase new machinery, including a Woodworking CNC, a CNC Door Manufacturing Machine, and reaching and ancillary supporting equipment. The company also plans to install a 1 megawatt solar energy facility in order to reduce its carbon footprint.

Horner's investment project is one of 17 approved by Massachusetts' Economic Assistance Coordinating Council (EACC). These projects are expected to create 1,008 new jobs and spur approximately $487.1 million in private investment in the state.
