Ksenia Sosnina will take up the position of CEO of Ilim Group effective June 16, 2016. She replaces Franz Josef Marx, who has held this post for the past three years. Ksenia Sosnina has many years’ experience in the pulp and paper industry, having held numerous management positions in leading international companies across the industry.

Ilim Group appoints Ksenia Sosnina as CEO

Ksenia Sosnina will take up the position of CEO of Ilim Group effective June 16, 2016. She replaces Franz Josef Marx, who has held this post for the past three years, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Ksenia Sosnina has many years’ experience in the pulp and paper industry, having held numerous management positions in leading international companies across the industry.

Since 2013 Ksenia Sosnina has been President of International Paper Russia, where her responsibilities encompassed all of the company’s operational activities including production, sales and business development. Ksenia Sosnina has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ilim Group since 2015.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ilim Group Zakhar Smushkin said: “Ilim Group has entered a new stage in its development with the adoption of a Strategy through 2030 and the approval of an ambitious business plan that calls for investments in increasing our production capacities. I believe that Ksenia Sosnina’s knowledge and experience will help ILIM Group to achieve these ambitious goals.”

International Paper has 50% stake in Ilim Group.
