As part of the ongoing efforts to streamline the production process further within Kährs Group, parts of the wooden floor range will be produced in Romania. The expansion marks a further step in the plan to create a competitive and sustainable production structure within Kährs Group and increases the total production capacity as well as reduces costs by simplifying the product flow.
The integration of the production in Satulung will also bring benefits to the Group in terms of logistics and eliminate internal transports between facilities as well as providing a strategic location near the Central European market and raw materials for production of wood floors. The production of finished hardwood floors in Satulung is estimated to begin at the end of 2015.
