Klabin’s 2Q net revenue up 17%

Klabin’s net revenue in 2Q 2017, including wood, was R$ 1,984 million ($638 million), 17% more than in the same period in 2016, principally a reflection of R$ 582 million ($187 million) in revenue from the pulp unit, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Revenue from sales of paper, packaging and wood in the quarter amounted to R$ 1,402 million ($451 million), 1% lower than 2Q16, again a reflection of the less favorable average exchange rate in relation to 1Q16 and impacting export revenue from these products during the period.

Adjusted EBITDA was R$ 595 million ($191 million) in 2Q17, which represents an 11% growth when compared to the same period of last year.

Klabin is the largest integrated producer, exporter and packaging paper recycler in Brazil. The Company has a capacity to produce 3.5 million tonnes of products annually.
