Koskitukki appoints Ville Parkkinen as Director of Wood Supply and Bioenergy

Ville Parkkinen, Master of Science in Agriculture and Forestry, will take on the role of Director of Wood Supply and Bioenergy at Koskitukki, and he will also join the Executive Team, as Koskisen said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Parkkinen joins Koskitukki from UPM Kymmene Metsä, where he worked for some ten years in various tasks related to wood procurement, most recently as Sourcing Manager. He also gained international experience, working in Russia and Uruguay.

Parkkinen thanks his predecessor, Jussi Joensuu, for leaving a solid foundation for him to build on. Joensuu, who stepped down at the end of November, worked at Koskitukki since 2005 and was Chief Forester for close to ten years.

Koskisen Group’s wood procurement company Koskitukki is known in its procurement area as a precise log cutter and reliable purchaser of wood, with employees whose every action reflects their commitment to wood. Every year, Koskitukki procures more than 2 million cubic metres of softwood and birch logs mainly from private forest owners.
