Kyiv cardboard and paper plant launches line for preparation of corrugated medium

Ukrainian large paperboard producer Kyiv cardboard and paper plant (Obykhiv, Ukraine) launched the line for preparation of the corrugated medium for production of paperboard. The factory press service has disclosed this in a statement. According to the report, the productivity of the line is 200 tons per day. «At the same time, equipment for internal production clearing of circulating waters via pressure floatation has also been put into operation,» the report reads. Currently, the last of four lines for preparation of the corrugated medium is being assembled. The enterprise does not disclose the sum of investments into the launch. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Kyiv cardboard and paper plant intends to invest EUR 21 million into the reconstruction of the paperboard production. The plant is the largest converter of waste paper in the countries of the former USSR. The capacity of the enterprise is about 280,000 tons of waste paper a year. Opened joint stock company Kyiv cardboard and paper plant produces paperboard, paper and corrugation production. It also has polygraph production. According to the Stock Market Infrastructure Development Agency, by May 2006, 95.15% stake in the Kyiv cardboard and paper plant belonged to the Vienna-based Pulp Mill Holding GmbH (Austria). Kyiv cardboard and paper plant ended 2005 with a profit of UAH 75.59 million increasing net revenues by 13.10% or UAH 73.32 million, compared to 2004 to UAH 632.84 million.
