LEIPA acquires 49% holding in Gratenau & Hesselbacher in Germany

The LEIPA Group GmbH, Schwedt/Munich, acquired a 49% holding in Gratenau & Hesselbacher GmbH (G&H), Hamburg, to strengthen the sales activities of the LEIPA group of companies, particularly in the overseas regions.

This will supplement and extend the sales portfolio of the LEIPA group of companies with new sales markets for the LEIPA magazine paper, the test liner and the packaging solutions. In addition, new sources will also be available in the scope of the global supply and sourcing management.

Gratenau und Hesselbacher, which is based in Hamburg, has operated in the international agency and retail business for cellulose, paper and cardboard for over 140 years. Its current product focus is on paper which is used in magazines, corrugated cardboard raw materials, and consumer packaging board.
