Moelven posts 13% revenues increase in 1Q

May 03, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Moelven increased 1Q 2016 operating profit by NOK 8 million ($1 million) over the same period last year. 1Q operating profit was NOK 30 million ($3.7 million). Revenues in the 1Q increased by 13% to NOK 2605 million, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

CEO Morten Kristiansen of Moelven Industries ASA says that there has been a satisfactory demand for sawn timber in the quarter.

“In the export markets, the currency situation helped to maintain margins. Demand from the construction sector in Scandinavia has been good. Delivery volumes were higher, but at lower prices, compared to the same period last year,” says Kristiansen.

As a wood products company, Moelven delivers sawn goods, planed construction material and interior products, glulam, modular buildings and building solutions.
