Morbark to supply Russia’s Solombala pulp mill with $870,000 debarking & cutting facility

Morbark Inc. company (USA) will deliver the second Morbark debarking and cutting facility to Solombala pulp and paper mill (Arkhangelsk region, Russia, the part of Solombalales holding), as said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. “This project was initiated last summer, the contract estimating at $870,000 was concluded in September 2008”, mill’s Technical Development Director Konstantin Ivanov said, “Due to the economic meltdown at the end of the last year project implementation deadline was postponed by six months. This April our long and reliable partner, Europcell GmbH, helped us in the implementation of the project”. Estimated time of equipment delivery in Arkhangelsk is July 1, 2009. Commissioning operations at the wood yard site may take up to two weeks.
