Munksjö increased 4Q net sales to Euro 290 million

Feb 29, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Munksjö's 4Q 2015 net sales were Euro 290 million, compared to Euro 281 million in 4Q 2014, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

4Q EBITDA adjusted for non-recurring items decreased to Euro 22.1 million and the adjusted EBITDA margin was 7.6%.

The operating result adjusted for non recurring items was Euro 8.5 million. The operating result was Euro 8.5 million and net result Euro 7.2 million.

FY 2015 net sales were Euro 1,130.7 million. FY 2015 EBITDA adjusted for non-recurring items decreased to Euro 93.6 million and the adjusted EBITDA margin was 8.3%.

A higher raw material cost level resulted in a decrease of EBITDA of Euro 26 million. This negative result effect was only partially compensated for by a positive effect of Euro 14 million as a result of increased sales prices.

Sales prices were impacted by implemented price increases, a more favourable currency development, a different product mix and a lower sales price for long-fibre pulp (NBSK).

The operating result was Euro 32.7 million and net result Euro 22.8 million. Earnings per share increased to Euro 0.44.

Munksjö's President and CEO, Jan Åström said: "Munksjö's 2015 showed stable volume development in most of our product segments during a year with global macroeconomic uncertainty, which especially impacted our operations in Brazil.

“Our main markets remain in Europe, but growth in business area Decor compared to 2014 was mainly driven by our selective geographical expansion and the business area reached record high delivery volumes in the 4Q.”
