New Zealand increases log exports to China by 28.2% in March

New Zealand has increased log exports to China in March 2018 by 28.2% YoY to 1,49 million m3 with average price of NZ$166 per m3, according to Statistics New Zealand data. The China's share in New Zealand log exports has gained 3 pp to 76.4%. The supplies to Korea, second largest consumer of New Zealand logs, have grown up 16.2% to 246.6 thousand m3, and to India have increased 2.8% to 118.0 thousand m3. In March 2018, total log exports from New Zealand increased 23.1% compared to March 2017 to 1.95 million m3. The average log exports price grew by 4.7% YoY.
