Paper Excellence appoints Brian Baarda as its new CEO. Baarda will immediately assume day-to-day leadership of Paper Excellence based out of the company’s Richmond headquarters.
Baarda, who holds an Executive MBA from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh, brings a wealth of forest industry experience to Paper Excellence. Over the period of two decades Baarda has held positions in supply chain, finance and operations including serving as Chief Operating Officer with TimberWest.
Paper Excellence manufactures NBSK pulp for the paper industry and BCTMP for printing, board and packaging. Over 90% of PEC’s products are exported to Asia, Europe and North America.
