Ponsse announces changes in its organisational structure and management team

Aug 18, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Ponsse Plc will carry out changes in its organisational structure, which causes also a change in the Ponsse´s management team, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Ponsse's new organisational structure is based on three main processes: sales and maintenance, the delivery chain, and R&D. In the future, the delivery chain organisation will be responsible for an area which covers functions from the receipt of customer orders all the way to production and the delivery of machines.

Jarmo Vidgrén, sales and marketing director, will continue in the management of sales and maintenance, and Juha Inberg, technology and R&D director, will be responsible for R&D.

Ponsse is looking for a new employee in the management of the delivery chain process who will also replace Juha Haverinen, the current factory director, in the Group's Management Team.

“Through this change, we are preparing for a growth in long-term manufacturing volumes. The new organisational structure clarifies our operations, strengthens our capacity to respond to our customers' needs, improves productivity, and allows us to react quickly. Our objective is a high level of customer satisfaction brought about by an effective, transparent and sustainable delivery chain. Through these resources, we are able to manufacture PONSSE forest machines even more effectively than before,” says President and CEO Juho Nummela.

Juha Haverinen, who has acted as a factory director since 2008, will transfer to the position of product manager. The production manager, together with production operators, will be responsible for factory operations.

Esa Penttinen will begin working as a production manager on 17 August. He has been in the service of Ponsse since 1996, having worked previously as a project manager for new products.

Ponsse Plc specialises in the sale, production, maintenance and technology of cut-to-length method forest machines.
