Raute increased 3Q net sales to Euro 31.4 million

Nov 11, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Raute Corporation’s total order intake in 3Q 2015 was low, coming to Euro 14 million, compared to Euro 22 million in 3Q 2014, due to a low volume of project delivery orders. The order intake for technology services was at a good level, totaling Euro 11 million, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The low order intake in project deliveries resulted primarily from the scheduling of customers’ investment projects and, in some cases, from the shift in the market situation in a more uncertain direction.

3Q net sales amounted to Euro 31.4 million compared to Euro 24.7 in 3Q 2014.

3Q operating profit was Euro 1.9 million positive and accounted for 6% of net sales. The result was Euro 1.5 million positive, and earnings per share were Euro +0.36. Profitability reflected the level of net sales.

The order intake amounted to Euro 129 million in January-September 2015. Of the new orders, 73% came from Europe, 12% from North America, 8% from Russia, 4% from Asia-Pacific and 3% from South America. 3Q accounted for Euro 14 million of the order intake.

The new orders included altogether three capacity-generating mill projects to Europe, which entered into force in the first and second quarters.

Net sales for the reporting period, Euro 87.8 million, were up 46% on the comparison period. The growth in net sales resulted from a higher initial order book than in the comparison year, a large volume of order intake and the timing of the order book.

Operating profit was Euro 5.3 million positive and accounted for 6% of net sales in January-September 2015. Profitability reflected the level of net sales.

Tapani Kiiski, President and CEO said: “I am satisfied with our success in the 3Q. Our growth was strong according to our plans and correspondingly our result improved clearly from the previous year.

Our net sales for the first three quarters are equal to almost the entire net sales for 2014. This is testament to the flexibility and smooth functioning of our delivery organization. Our profitability has developed in line with net sales growth, as expected.

More than Euro 50 million in our order book is scheduled already for next year. Despite the quiet order intake over the past quarter, which I believe to be temporary, I estimate that our outlook for next year is already now strong”.
