RemaSawco wins order for SEK 2 million ($251,240) from Hedlunds Timber AB in Sweden. The order comprises delivery and commissioning of a RS-BoardScannerP for optimisation and RS-ProSort board sorting control for the new green sorter at Hedlund Timber in Furudal. Delivery and commissioning is scheduled for August 2018, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
RS-BoardScannerP is a version of RS-BoardScannerQ. In this delivery it is used for board profiling of the top end of the board and for measurement of dimensions (length, width, thickness). The system is expandable and ready for future quality sorting of defects, e.g. knots, rot and blue stain. This will enable the saw mill to already in the green sorter increase accuracy and yield. Also, more capacity in the dry sorter will be made available, since some of the produce in the green sorter can be sent straight away to the planer after drying.
