Romcarton S.A., a company member of Rossmann Group, one of the European leaders in manufacturing corrugated cardboard packages, has contracted from Banca Comerciala Romana an investment credit in amount of Euro 23.4 million. The credit facility is used to build a corrugated cardboard factory in Popesti-Leordeni, Romania.

Romcarton secures Euro 23.4 million loan to build new corrugated plant in Romania

Romcarton S.A., a company member of Rossmann Group, one of the European leaders in manufacturing corrugated cardboard packages, has contracted from Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) an investment credit in amount of Euro 23.4 million, as BCR reported.

The credit facility is used to build a corrugated cardboard factory in Popesti-Leordeni, Romania, which shall occupy 3.4 hectares. The project will be completed until the end of 2017, the total investment amounting Euro 27.5 million.

“It is a moment of reference in the evolution of our group in Romania; building a larger new factory with optimized premises around the technological flows, installing modern equipment and, implicitly, obtaining an improved working environment. We make a natural step in our development, which will determine the increase of satisfaction of our customers proportional to the improvement of the quality of the supplied products and services,” said Paul-Henri Kohler, General Manager of Rossmann Romania Group.

Romcarton S.A. is the first producer of corrugated cardboard packages from Romania, with an experience of almost 30 years in the industry, and the clients of the company are from the food and daily consumer goods industry.
