May 20, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. In January-April 2010 plywood production in Russia grew by 37.8% to 850,000 cubic meters, as Rosstat (Russian Statistic Agency) informed Lesprom Network. In this period, growth was registered almost in all sectors of the forest industry, with wood-based panels leading in production growth rates: wood particleboard production increased by 18.8% to 1.7 million nominal cubic meters, wood fiberboard production - by 14.6% to 121 million nominal square meters. In April 2010, particleboard production boosted by 38.6% compared to the previous April.

Door units production decreased by 3.3% down to 2.6 million square meters in the first four months of 2010, 1.5% less books were printed, which makes 933 million copies, and newspapers production decreased by 1.7% down to 4.4 billion items.

 

Along with that, industrial production ratio in January-April 2010 was 106.9% compared to the similar period of the previous year, while in April 2010, compared to April 2009, it was 110.4%.
