Russian Shalakushsky timber mill (Arkhangelsk region, owned by Titan group of companies) reported timber sawing up 2,5% to 20,5 thousand cub m in January-February 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, Titan public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. In February 2004 sawing remained on the same level compared with the prior period in 2003 at 10,1 thousand cub m. In January-February 2004 sawn timber production was 10,8 thousand cub m (+6,9% compared with the prior period in 2003) and wood chips production – 5,2 thousand cub m (-8,8%). In February 2004 the enterprise produced 5,6 thousand cub m of sawn timber (5,7%), wood chips – 2,5 thousand cub m (-7,4%).
