Segezha Group (which is a part of Sistema JFSC) has prepared the Sustainability Report for the years 2014-2015. This is the first document in the forest-based sector of the Russian Federation that was prepared in accordance with GRI G4 international reporting standard that opens a new page in the development of non-financial reporting of Russian timber companies.

Segezha Group introduced the first in the Russian forest-based sector Sustainability Report

Segezha Group (which is a part of Sistema JFSC) has prepared the Sustainability Report for the years 2014-2015, the draft of which was publicly presented to concerned parties during the public hearings in Moscow at the site of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

This is the first document in the forest-based sector of the Russian Federation that was prepared in accordance with GRI G4 international reporting standard that opens a new page in the development of non-financial reporting of Russian timber companies.

In an international practice Sustainable development means that the company has established management system of liability and impact on the environment, economy and society, which does not endanger the future of next generations. The report shows the dynamics of the Group development over a period of two years. As a priority theme was chosen the “Answerable forest management”.

Commenting on the event, Sergey Pomelov the President of Segezha Group said: “For us it is an important milestone. We publicly enounce our leadership, demonstrating our openness to society and the long-term intention to develop the industry. We want all concerned parties to know – we are in the forest-based industry for a long time, and we intend to grow effectively and organically”.

Segezha Group is the largest Russian vertically integrated timber holding with a full cycle of logging and deep processing of wood.
