Siempelkamp to supply particleboard plant for Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A. in Poland

Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A., one of the largest European furniture manufacturers, is expanding its product portfolio in the area of self-assembly furniture. The required wood-based material panels will be produced on a Siempelkamp press, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The order for a forming and press line including a ContiRoll® press as well as the entire fin-ishing line was placed in May 2016. The scope of supply also consists of a particle dryer and an energy plant by Büttner. The Siempelkamp subsidiary will supply the complete system including installation and startup. The order is complemented by the automation technology and other additional components. The startup of the new plant is scheduled for 2018.

The new Siempelkamp plant will be installed at the new factory in the northeastern town of Suwalki, Poland, to ensure the supply for the Forte furniture plants.

The furniture manufacturer which exports to 30 countries is tailoring its new production line specifically to its own needs. Material losses during product changes can be significantly minimized with the new plant.

The decisive factor in securing this order was the technological expertise of the Krefeld partner: The customer’s particular requirements were put to the test at Siempelkamp‘s test facility where they resulted in a viable solution.

A new specialized press design is part of the concept. So is the EcoFormer. This mat forming system has accuracy previously unachieved during the mat forming of particleboard surface layers at the lowest possible energy consumption.
