Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2016 was worth Euro 7.6 million, which is about 39% more than in the previous month, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased sawlogs conifers, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 47%, of wood fuel by about 5% and of other industrial roundwood by 2%, while the value of purchased pulpwood was lower (by about 7%).
The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2016 was about 65% higher than in August 2015, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 69%, of pulpwood by about 39%, of wood fuel by almost 37% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 30%.
