May 22, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Sweden's Domsjo Fabriker, the operator of a wood pulp plant, is setting up an office in Klaipeda, according to BNS. The company has already advertised vacancies at its new Lithuania's unit in local papers. The unit will be charged with purchase of timber in Lithuania and supply thereof to Sweden. Earlier Domsjo Fabriker established a subsidiary in Latvia, which supervises the supply of timber to the plant from the Baltic countries. Domsjo Fabriker, which is controlled by six private investors, employs a workforce of about 340. The main product is special cellulose named Domsjo Dissolving Plus, Domsjo Dissolving and Domsjo Eco Bright. Domsjo Fabriker has two fully owned subsidiaries - Latvian company Domse Latvia and Domsjo Specialities AB of which the main purpose is to develop lignosulphonate even further. The annual turnover amounts to roughly SEK 1 billion.
