TRM invests Euro1 million in next generation full line multi-point folder gluer

Nov 17, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. TRM Packaging has invested Euro1 million in a new multi-point folder and gluer from Tanabe JD Boxer, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Mike Giles, Sales & Marketing Director for TRM said: “With an increase in demand for variable sizes, bespoke pack configurations and sophisticated designs across the market, we decided to add to our state-of-the-art portfolio of equipment by purchasing the Tanabe JD Boxer.”

He added: “This new addition to our gluer capability, which already includes an existing Tanabe machine along with two Andrew and Suter folder-gluers, means that we’ve increased our overall capacity and flexibility as well as response times for our customers. It brings greater design flexibility ensuring our creative team remains at the forefront of innovative solutions to meet our customers needs.”

To ensure clients’ requests for extra capacity for the busy Christmas period could be met, TRM flew the machine direct from Japan.
The installation complements the addition of the Bobst MasterCut die-cutter, TRM’s GBP 3.2 million Göpfert Impression seven-colour press and a new complete palletisation line from Ducker and Mosca in the earlier part of this year. TRM continues to develop its site into one of the most flexible and high capability sites in the UK, building on its HD print offering.

TRM Packaging is the UK’s leading independent specialist in corrugated packaging.
