U.S. containerboard production decreased 2.6% in April

U.S. containerboard production in April was 2.6% lower compared to April 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to March 2016 was 1.9% higher, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.

The containerboard operating rate for April increased from 93% to 94.3% and the year-to-date operating rate of 94% was 1.6 percentage points lower compared to the same period in 2015.
