U.S. containerboard production was 0.7% lower in July 2016 compared to July 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to June 2016 was 0.3% higher, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.
The containerboard operating rate for July decreased to 93.9%, while the year-to-date operating rate of 94.4% was 1.7 percentage points lower compared to year-to-date 2015.
