U.S. containerboard production in May 2017 3.4% higher compared to May 2016. The month-over-month average daily production compared to April 2017 was 0.7% higher, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.
The containerboard operating rate for May increased from 97.1% to 99.3%, which was 4.2% higher compared to May of last year.
