U.S. packaging papers shipments August 2017 were 235,900 tons, 1.7% lower than August 2016. Bag & Sack shipments were up 5.5% year-to-date, while Food Wrapping shipments were down 8.5% over the same period. The operating rate for August 2017 was 90.3%, while the year-to-date rate was 88.8%.
