U.S. packaging papers shipments in June 2018 were up 4.4%, compared to June 2017 and up 0.6% year-to-date. Bag & Sack shipments were essentially flat year-to-date, Multiwall shipments were down 1.3%, Converting shipments were up 0.7% and Food Wrapping shipments were up 3.6%.

U.S. packaging papers shipments increased by 4.4% in June

U.S. packaging papers shipments in June 2018 were up 4.4%, compared to June 2017 and up 0.6% year-to-date, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.

Bag & Sack shipments were essentially flat year-to-date, Multiwall shipments were down 1.3%, Converting shipments were up 0.7% and Food Wrapping shipments were up 3.6%.

The operating rate for June increased to 95.8% from 94.5% in May. Inventories were down 0.3% since May.
