Valmet delivers a chipping line and defibrator system to Greenply in India

Valmet will deliver a chipping line and defibrator system for MDF (medium-density fiberboard) production to Greenply Industries Ltd's new fiberboard mill in Routhu Suramala, Mandal in Andhra Pradesh state, India. The target is to produce the first MDF board in mid-August 2017, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of the order will not be disclosed. An order with this scope of supply is usually valued in the range of Euro 5-10 million.

The delivery includes front end system consisting of a chipping line and a defibrator system. The chipping line is equipped with Valmet's new high capacity drum chipper and a separate line handling the purchased chips.

It also includes chip storing, screening, control system, chip washer and a Defibrator system of type EVO 70. The new drum chipper produces uniform chips from for example round wood, waste wood, slabs, trimmings, edges and veneer residuals.
