Walki Group appointed Kari Salminen as Project Manager, Supply Chain

Jun 01, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Kari Salminen has been appointed Project Manager, Supply Chain for Walki Group as of August 1, 2011. During a 5-month project he will be responsible for analyzing and improving the supply chain function of Walki Group. In this position Kari will report to Timo Finnström, VP Sourcing & Business Development, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Kari is joining Walki from SCA Packaging Finland, where he has worked since 2006 as Customer Relations Manager and most recently as Supply Chain Manager. After completing his Master's Thesis for Walki Wisa in 2004, Kari has also worked for Peterson Packaging. As of January 1, 2012, Kari will transfer to the role of Product Line Manager, Construction, within the Technical Products Business Area, taking the overall responsibility of the growth and profitability of the product line. In this position he will report to Tuomo Wall, VP Sales & Marketing Technical Products. Kari will be based in Valkeakoski. Hannu Nieminen, currently Product Line Manager, Construction, will start as Global Product Manager, Insulation Facings as of January 1, 2012. After this change, Hannu will report to Kari Salminen and will continue to be based in Valkeakoski, Finland. The Walki Group is an international company, which produces wrappings for the paper and metal industries.
