Nov 03, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Weyerhaeuser Company announced Jeff Stoddard as the new mill manager of the Northwest Hardwoods operations in Eugene and Coos Bay, Ore. Stoddard was formerly assistant mill manager of the company’s Northwest Hardwoods plant in Eugene. Stoddard replaces Sam Dickey, who will take on the role as manager for the company’s newly acquired hardwood sawmill in the Bahia region of Brazil. “Jeff is a valuable asset to Northwest Hardwoods who brings 18 years of hardwoods experience to the facility,” said Jerry Martin, vice-president of Northwest Hardwoods’ western operations. “Jeff’s priorities include safety, product quality and customer satisfaction. With Jeff’s leadership, the Eugene facility will continue to grow in all these areas.” The Northwest Hardwoods operation in Eugene employs 165 people and produces lumber and pallet stock. The Coos Bay operation, which employs eight people, merchandises hardwood logs and chips.
