FinnMETKO – the most important professional and sales exhibition of heavy machinery industry in Finland. Commercialism, work demonstrations carried out in real working conditions and test drives of machines and devices are the exhibition’s central themes. The exhibition covers about 200 hectares of land and forest area, including routes (about 25 km) and parking areas. Free shuttle bus service is provided in the territory of the exhibition, as usually.
The exhibition brings together energy-, forestry- and civil engineering entrepreneurs, retailers, manufacturers and customers. A significant part of the show is transportation and its versatile equipment. Side by side with light commercial vehicles, trucks available on the market will perform on their exhibition field. Different service providers and component manufacturers, subcontractors and diverse interest groups representatives form an important and growing exhibitor group.
The newest customer group – land and forest owners – is the largest one to machine entrepreneurs. For forest owners we organise up-to-date topical workshops covering wood fuel production, tending of sapling stands, forest cultivation, fertilization, first thinning, soft targets and energy harvesting. During the exhibition, land- and forest owners have a chance to explore a wide year-round construction as well as the methods and equipment used for road and environment maintenance.
The visitors are professionals.
In 2012, FinnMETKO exhibition gathered over 350 exhibitors and 34 000 visitors.
